子供が良いことをしたときに「えらいね、すごいね」と褒めるのではなくて、「○○してくれてありがとうね」と言うようにしている。

これ、なぜそうするかというと、「えらいね、すごいね」と褒めるのは良いのですが、これを続けていると「褒めないとやらない」「見ていないところではやらない」となる傾向もあるそうです。

一方、「〜してくれてありがとう」というのは「他者に貢献した行為に感謝している」ので、なにか人の役に立つことをしよう、という意識付けができるそうです。

実際、そのうちの子はこうして育てるようにしたところ、「ね、なにか私にできることある？」が口癖になっているとのこと。
