大学でも教える人気者・さかなクン。魚の知識が豊富な専門家に育ててくれたのは、各地の漁師だ。大震災では長年交流してきた三陸沿岸の人が被災。“恩返しがしたい”と全壊した地元の水族館を、子どもの笑顔があふれる場に再建させる中心メンバーに。また家を流され「海を見たくない」と悲痛な手紙送った宮城県南三陸町の男の子に会いに行く。三陸の豊かな海は復活できるのか、潜水調査も開始。被災地の海の町で奮闘する姿に密着。
